MOVIE: Screen on the Green returns tonight with The Apartment, starring Jack Lemmon as the meek mid-level salesman who allows his flat to be used by executives who need a place to take their mistresses, and Shirley MacLaine as the elevator operator he adores. One of director Billy Wilder’s best films, this should be a popular outing tonight on the National Mall. Film begins at dusk, but get there early to stake out a primo spot. Free.
MUSIC: Exit Clov headlines a great line-up at Fort Reno, with Cobra Collective and The War Console opening. 7:15 p.m., free.

HAPPY HOUR: In Friday’s Weekly Feed we told you about the Gin Rickey competition that will be held tonight at Bourbon in Adams Morgan. Head over starting at 6 p.m. to taste all the different recipes up for the challenge in an event sponsored by the D.C. Bartenders Guild. Once there, you can vote for your favorite and see how it stacks up against the one the judges, who include Eric Felten of the Wall Street Journal, Charlotte Voisey of Hendricks Gin, Todd Thrasher of Restaurant Eve and PX, and John Wabeck of Inox, select.
