MUSIC: Fort Reno is almost over. Don’t miss Jukebox the Ghost and These United States tonight, and our look back at this year’s Fort Reno season. 7:15 p.m., free.
MOVIE: It’s the last night of Screen on the Green, too. Sad. It’s going to be a beautiful night, and the film in question is Superman, so, you should pretty much probably be there already if you want a prime spot on the National Mall. The film screen returns to the 4th street side tonight after moving over to 7th last week. Starting around 8:30 p.m.
READING: NPR’s Dick Meyer is apparently gunning for Andy Rooney’s job by penning a book about what’s wrong with American culture these days and how he’s grumpy about it. He’ll be at Politics and Prose to discuss Why We Hate Us. We’re hoping for at least one “bah! humbug” during his talk. 7 p.m.
MUSIC: Solid indie outfit Ghosty deserve your attention this evening. The Lawrence, Kansas-based group made many a music critic’s list of ones to watch in 2006, after the release of their first album, Grow Up or Sleep In. They’re at The Red and the Black with The Bears and Kitty Hawk. $8, 9:30 p.m.
