MUSIC: Red Bull’s Big Tune is a head to head producer competition with 12 beatmakers vying to be one of two from D.C. to advance to the championship round in New York City. The battle is tonight at the 9:30 Club, and features guest spots from local up-and-comer Wale and Virginia-based producer Nottz. $5, 8 p.m.

MOVIE: The National Portrait Gallery is screening Tupac: Resurrection at 7 in the McEvoy Auditorium, as part of the “RECOGNIZE! Hip Hop and Contemporary Portraiture” exhibition. No tickets required. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.: first come, first served.

MUSIC: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah‘s show at DC9 is totally sold out, and sure to be packed to rafters. There are a few options still on Craigslist. 8:30 p.m.

SPORTS: Only two Nationals home games left, tonight and tomorrow. Sure, the games are between two teams that are out of the playoffs by a mile, but uh, this is a good chance to enjoy the new stadium without long lines at the concessions stands! Both games at 7:10 p.m.

MUSIC: Civilian Art Projects is trying its hand at being an occasional music venue by hosting three edgy bands tonight: Brooklyn’s These Are Powers, Seattle’s Pwrful Power and local noisemakers The Apes (***). $8.
