• Michael A. Brown snagged a couple D.C. Council endorsements today in his bid to win the 2nd At-large seat up for grabs on Tuesday. Ward 5 Council member Harry Thomas Jr. endorsed Brown, as did Ward 8 Council member Marion Barry.
• The D.C. Council is considering whether to invoke eminent domain to force redevelopment of several major intersections east of the Anacostia, including Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and South Capitol Street SW, MLK and Good Hope Road SE, and Minnesota and Pennsylvania Avenues SE.
• In today’s episode of the Dow Jones Industrial Average rollercoaster, it went up an impressive 889 points.
