MUSIC: Both Kings of Leon at DAR and Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band at the 9:30 Club are sold-out, so take the X-2 bus to the Rock and Roll Hotel to catch Mark Kozelek, the former Red House Painters frontman who is touring in support of Nights LP, a solo compilation spanning his career in indie rock. $20, 8:30 p.m.

MUSIC: If you missed Brooklyn’s Previously on Lost, the band that recaps episodes of Lost in song, last night at Iota, get to the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage to see them free tonight at 6 p.m.

GAMING: Head to the GameStop in Pentagon City to participate in a live gaming session of Xbox Live’s Call of Duty: World at War a day before it’s released. The event comes with the apropos twist that participants will be playing live against members of the U.S. Army stationed in Fort Drum, N.Y. Play from 9 to 11 p.m., prizes awarded at 11:30 p.m.

MUSIC: Another excellent option is Minneapolis’s Cloud Cult, who play winsome, orchestral-influenced experimental rock while some band members paint live on stage. Mason Proper and locals Exit Clov open at the Black Cat. $12, 8 p.m.
