Even Shadow Senator Paul Strauss had a car in the parade. And a classic one, to boot.

There’s no doubt that many Redskins fans have December 7 circled on their calendars this year — that Sunday, Washington will head north to take on the Ravens in Baltimore. The game will mark only the second meeting of the two city’s NFL sides in the last seven years, and aside from the obvious local bragging rights, it should have significant playoff implications. But D.C. Council Chairman Vincent Gray and Baltimore City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake are taking things a bit further and staking some serious pride. According to D.C. Wire, Gray will ante up a dinner for Rawlings-Blake and her staff at Ben’s if the Ravens pull off the win. But Rawlings-Blake, perhaps banking a bit too much on her hometown side, agreed to personally deliver a batch of crab cakes for lunch to the City Council. An impartial observer realizes Gray swung a pretty sweet deal here – either way, he won’t have to travel very far. Nice work, Councilman.
