CLASSICAL: For its annual Stradivari Anniversary Concert, the Library of Congress has invited the Harlem Quartet and cellist Carter Brey to play on instruments from its Stradivari collection for a free concert at 8 p.m. The program includes music by Turina, Piston, Strayhorn, and Schubert. Reserved seats have all been taken, but the LOC suggests getting in the standby line by 6:30 p.m., as there will likely be dozens of no-show tickets available right before showtime.
MOVIE: Tonight’s the final screening of The Godfather, Pt. II at the AFI Silver as part of the theater’s special presentation of restored 35mm prints of both Parts I and II. 8 p.m.
