FOOD & DRINK: Big Easy fans and just plain drinkers will want to head to the Museum of Natural History’s Atrium Cafe for History in a Glass: Famous New Orleans Cocktails. Learn about the history and making of New Orleans drinks from cocktail historian Phil Greene and master Big Easy mixologist Chris McMillian. Yes, there will be tastings. DJ: A birthday party for local producer Kev Brown coincides with the three-year anniversary of the death of J. Dilla tonight at the Red Lounge. “Dilla’s Nite” will feature D.C.’s hip-hop elite celebrating both men, with Grap Luva hosting and DJs Roddy Rod, 2-Tone Jones, and Jon Laine performing. $7, 9 p.m.
CLASSICAL: Tonight is the final Washington performance by the Guarneri String Quartet in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. After a late Beethoven quartet, the group’s founding cellist, David Soyer, will join in for what is sure to be a deeply felt performance of Schubert’s C major quintet. Tickets are sold out, but you can always check with the box office for a last-minute cancellation. 7:30 p.m.
