Lenka delivered more than an hour’s worth of infectious yet intricate pop songs that delighted a capacity crowd at DC9 on Wednesday. People enthusiastically danced and sang along. The set was highlighted by not one, but two renditions of “The Show.” She played the regular version (as heard in the Old Navy commercial) mid-set, then closed her encore with what she aptly called a “disco remix” of the song. It was a great show, which bodes well for her show at the 9:30 Club later this year. The opening band, The Spring Standards, were quite good as well.
