MUSIC: New Zealand’s Mark de Clive-Lowe brings his keyboard and on-the-spot beat making skills back to the District for the second time in the past several months. Sharing the bill with him at Bohemian Caverns will be British vocalist Vanessa Freeman and D.C.’s own Bilal Salaam. $12 in advance/$15 at the door, 8 p.m.
LECTURE: At 6 p.m. tonight, the National Museum of the American Indian hosts the Annual Day of Remembrance at the Smithsonian: The Japanese American Experience in Print, which “marks the 67th anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt which led to the imprisonment of 120,000 Americans of Japanese ancestry during World War II.” Three Japanese American writers to discuss their recent books on the subject.
MUSIC: Brighton, U.K. krautrock collective Fujiya and Miyagi are bringing their fetching blend of rock-soul-tronica to the 9:30 Club. School of Seven Bells rounds out the solid bill. 7 p.m. doors, $20.
MOVIE: Valentine’s Day still isn’t over at the AFI Silver, as their romance series continues tonight with a 7 p.m. screening of the classic John Hughes Cameron Crowe teen rom-com, Say Anything. Worth another look for Lili Taylor’s musical performance of “Joe Lies” alone.
CLASSICAL: Musicians from the Marlboro Music Festival, including cellist Peter Stumpf and violinist Augustin Hadelich, will present a free concert at the Freer Gallery of Art, with music by Haydn, Brahms, and Kodály. 7:30 p.m.
