Former Redskin Jason Taylor on Dancing With the Stars

Defensive end Jason Taylor, the Redskins’ big-name acquisition last year and Dancing With the Stars runner-up, was released by the ‘Skins on Monday because he refused to let the organization add a workout clause to his contract.

The Skins wanted Taylor to participate in 25 of 39 days of offseason workouts, but Taylor, who has been separated from his family for a year between his Dancing With the Stars appearance and trade to Washington, wanted to spend the time with his wife and three kids instead.

Offseason workouts were also reportedly part of the reason Taylor left the Miami Dolphins a year ago. Taylor missed the offseason workouts due to his stint on Dancing With the Stars, which was rumored to not sit well with Miami Dolphins guru Bill Parcells.

We’re wondering which will come first: Taylor’s appearance in another reality TV show, or the Redskins signing another Dancing With the Stars veteran.
