Photo by katieharbathMetro released its March track maintenance schedule earlier this week, with some big delays to take note of this coming weekend and beyond.
Friday, March 6, to Sunday, March 8
- Orange Line: Crosstie and track support replacement work between the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU and West Falls Church-VT/UVA stations will create 30 minute delays between 8 p.m., Friday, March 6, to closing (midnight), on Sunday, March 8. While the work is going on, every other Orange Line train in the direction of Vienna/Fairfax-GMU will terminate at West Falls Church-VT/UVA and return to New Carrollton. - Red Line: Also this weekend, work replacing rail fasteners between Silver Spring and Forest Glen will add 20 minute delays as trains single track between the two stations from 8 p.m., Friday, March 6, to closing (midnight) on Sunday, March 8.
