TALK: At 8 p.m., head to the Hirshhorn for an evening with Israeli illustrator and animator David Polonsky, who will discuss his work as art director and lead artist on Ari Folman’s critically acclaimed graphic novel and film, Waltz with Bashir. Free, first come first served.

JAZZ: Serbian guitar virtuoso Goran Ivanovic leads Eastern Blok at Twins Jazz. The group blends traditional Balkan melodies with the improvisational elements of jazz. MUSIC: Glasvegas has managed to sell out their Black Cat show, but you can read DCist’s review of their show at the Rock & Roll Hotel last fall. Tonight they play with Ida Maria in an 8 p.m. show. It’s not looking so good on Craigslist.

CLASSICAL: Soprano Susanna Phillips performs tonight courtesy the Vocal Arts Society. Her solo recital with pianist Craig Terry is at the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. Tickets: $45. 7:30 p.m.

MUSIC: Inner Loop Records hosts a remix party of Jay-Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt. Several area-based producers and artists will be participating (Kokayi, Best Kept Secret, and XO among others) at the relatively new Club Expo (1928 9th Street NW). $15, 8 p.m.
