Just in case you missed the news this morning from Post TV columnist Lisa de Moraes, The CW has announced it is picking up the young D.C. socialite-focused and Late Night Shots-inspired reality show, Blonde Charity Mafia.

The show was originally set to appear on the Lifetime network as a lead-in to the popular Project Runway, but that deal eventually fell through. Six 30-minute episodes of the show will air on The CW on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m., starting July 7 and running through Aug. 4. We won’t know whether more episodes could be ordered until after it starts airing.

The CW is billing the show as a “docu-series,” even though it has already been reported to be largely scripted by its producers. What, you mean reality TV isn’t actually real?

You can read about the entire trashy summer TV line-up on The CW over at Variety. Blonde Charity Mafia will take over the Tuesday night slot after the initial run of another new CW reality program, called Hitched or Ditched, based on the charming concept that couples who have been dating for years will be given an ultimatum by a friend to either get married or break up within a week.

Tuesdays nights on The CW this summer: all class.
