MOVIE: Filmfest DC continues all week, and tonight they’ve got a D.C. voting rights-themed documentary by director Kirk Mangels, called Un-Natural State. This will surely be preaching to the choir here, but if you’ll get a kick out of seeing Eleanor and Tom Davis up on the big screen, head to the E Street this evening. 6:30 p.m.
MUSIC: Mexican alt-pop singer Ximena Sarinana is being compared to Julieta Venegas, which is high praise indeed. Tickets are still available to catch her at the 9:30 Club tonight. Matthew Santos opens. $18, 7 p.m.
READING: Bestselling author Michelle Goldberg (Kingdom Coming: The Rise of Christian Nationalism) is at Politics and Prose tonight at 7 p.m. to discuss her latest, The Means of Reproduction: Sex, Power, and the Future of the World. The book attempts to expose “the global war on women’s reproductive rights and its disastrous and unreported consequences.”
MUSIC: Three Stars alumna and Grammy nominee Wayna is back home tonight, performing at Posh as a part of the “R&B Live” series. $20 with a two drink minimum, 8 p.m.
