DJ: Hip hop legend Afrika Bambaataa is in town for a DJ set at Current. $10, 9 p.m.

PANEL: Still haven’t had enough first 100 days of Obama talk? At 7 p.m., head to the Sixth and I Historic Synagogue for a discussion with the editors of The New Republic (including Jonathan Chait, Michael Crowley, Michelle Cottle, and Noam Scheiber). Tickets to The Obama Administration: 100 Days and Beyond cost $8.

MUSIC: The Blackbyrds were one of the leading funk-jazz groups of the 1970s. Born out of Howard’s School of Music, they made “Rock Creek Park” more than a place in Northwest. They’ll be at Blues Alley for two shows. $25+$12.50 minimum, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

CYCLING: Phoenix Bikes’ second annual Bike Show is tonight from 7-9 p.m. at the Dome Theatre in Rosslyn (1101 Wilson Blvd, Arlington). Check out bike-themed art made by locals, enter in a raffles for two incredible bikes, bid in the silent auction, and generally support this excellent youth bike shop. Tickets are $30 at the door.
