MUSIC: The D.C. based Fuse Ensemble is a collaboration between composer Gina Biver and multimedia artist Edgar Endress. The ensemble performs classical music with influences from jazz, world, minimalism, avant-garde, and electronica. Fuse will perform tonight on the Millennium Stage. 6 p.m. Free.
TALK: History buffs will want to head to the S. Dillon Ripley Center tonight for a lecture by author and historian Tony Horwitz. Horwitz is promoting his new book, A Voyage Long and Strange: Rediscovering the New World, and will deliver a talk on “present-day sites of the Vikings, Conquistadors, lost Colonists, and other adventurers in early America.” 7 p.m., $25.
