Separate from the massive main break/sinkhole/gas leak/basement flooding in the 1700 block of Florida Ave. NW, crews are working to repair two other water main breaks in the District this morning.

The first happened around 7 a.m. on South Dakota Ave. NE between 29th and 30th Streets. A larger main broke at that location, but we don’t have as many details yet on its status.

The third main break of the morning was a 12″ water main at 14th and M Streets NW. That break occurred shortly after 7:35 a.m., and WASA has reportedly already got the flow of water controlled in that area.
