As you might guess, Memorial Day weekend isn’t usually crammed with gallery openings, but we found a couple items of note in our inbox, so consider this your holiday art hodge-podge.

>> We were interested to hear about the launch of 246 Editions, inspired by the wildly popular 20×200 site (they sell 200 editions of a photograph for $20 a pop). Headed up by D.C. artist Matthew Langley, 246 Editions has a handful of artists “curating” one piece of affordable art for the site each week. Be sure to stick it in your RSS feed to see if something hits your fancy — this week features another D.C. artist and blogger, J.T. Kirkland.

>> Fans of street art, head to Irvine Contemporary tonight for a film screening of their “own in-house remix of selections from the greatest hits of street art films.” Starts at 7 p.m., includes popcorn and beer, and a preview of their next (yes, street art) exhibition in the gallery. Free.

>> A couple great events at the Corcoran: Tonight, get a tour with Chief Curator Philip Brookman for a behind the scenes look at Maya Lin’s Systematic Landscapes. 6:30 p.m., $10. Next Tuesday, go to a book signing with photographer Pat York. Her book, Fame & Frame features the amazing access she’s had over the decades to capture artists in their element. 7 p.m., $20.

>> Modern home furnishing and architecture magazine Dwell has a couple of events in town. Tonight the Embassy of Finland will host them for a discussion about embassy architecture in Washington, D.C. ($8), followed-up tomorrow with an embassy walking tour ($20).
