THE NATIONAL: The boys from Brooklyn finish their set of three shows in two nights at the 9:30 Club this evening, previewing material from their highly-anticipated new record. Tickets for tonight’s set are sold out, but Craig’s got plenty of options. Doors open at 7 p.m.
MOVIES: Crystal City’s Superheroes summer film series is already in full swing — tonight, you can take in Ang Lee’s 2003 adaptation of the Bruce Banner legend, Hulk. The screening is located at 18th and Bell Street in Arlington, across from the Crystal City Metro station. Movie starts at sundown, Free.
CLASSICAL: Students from the Yale School of Music will play a collection of classical tunes at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theatre. 6 p.m., Free.
MUSIC: Black Cat features an indie rock showcase in a benefit for nonprofit animal advocacy agency Compassion Over Killing — Mobius Strip, The Jet Age, and The Wax Standard take the Backstage starting at 8 p.m. $8.
