Someone get the Washington Nationals a team of copy editors, stat.
Okay, leaving off an extra “n” on Jordan Zimmermann’s bat was forgivable, since it was likely a manufacturing error. But you’d think that after the “Natinals” debacle, the Nats would try to be a little more careful, double and triple-checking everything going out the door.
Alas, no. D.C. Sports Bog provides the damning evidence this morning — seen above — that the Nationals’ proclivity for orthographical sins is continuing, unabated. Honestly, we’re a little shocked that the team would misspell Teddy’s last name, considering that he’s probably one of the few things at the ballpark that people actually look forward to watching these days. That’s no way to treat your stars, guys.
With Dan Steinberg’s mnemonic advice though, we’re sure that Nats management will remember how to spell Roosevelt much better next time. Quoth the Bogger: “It’s just like the crowd at most D.C. sporting events–twice as many O’s as you think there should be.”
