The presidential family must be on some kind of odyssey for the best burger in the D.C. area. President Obama showed up at the Five Guys in Navy Yard today for a couple of patties with cheese, jalapenos, tomato, and mustard, for those of you keeping Obama burger diaries. NBC4 has the video clip of the President mingling with the lunchgoers.

Now we know that burgers represent all-American food, but couldn’t he go for some other options? For instance, pizza from 2 Amys, tacos from Taqueria Nacionale or fried chicken from Oohhs and Aahhs. Not that we want his groupies overcrowding our favorite joints, but how about a little variety?
