>> It’s still pretty drizzly out there, so you may want to consult our film picks of the week, including a special screening of Battleship Potemkin tonight at 7 p.m. at the Freer Gallery‘s Meyer Auditorium. Free.

>> Undecided if you want to get in line for last-minute tickets to see legendary punks X tonight at the 9:30 Club? Co-singer Exene Cervenka revealed this week that she has MS, so there’s a lot of rumors going around about how long they’ll continue to tour (although of course, people with MS regularly live long, healthy lives). 7 p.m. doors, Steve Soto and the Twisted Hearts open, X goes on at 9:30 p.m.

>> PJ Harvey and John Parish put out an amazing collaboration earlier this year, and tonight they’ll perform together in a seated show at the Warner Theatre. Tickets are $41 and still available. 8 p.m.

SATURDAY:

>> Of course it’s Capital Pride starting this weekend, which kicks off in earnest tonight at Town, with the Mr. and Miss Capital Pride pageant. The pageant runs from 7 to 9, and is followed by a drag show at 10. Admission is $10 for the pageant, $8 if you go after 9 for just the drag show, and $12 after 11.

>> This weekend is the 26th annual Dupont Kalorama Museum Walk. Enjoy free admission and a plethora of activities at the ten participating museums, including the Phillips Collection, the Woodrow Wilson House and the Textile Museum, just to name a few. The Museum Walk will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. Free shuttle bus service is provided between venues and bike parking will be available at key locations. >> Channel your inner Tim Gunn and get yourself to the Flaunt Fashion Runway show this Saturday at Honfleur Gallery, 8:30 p.m. A collaboration between Ten Miles Square and Project Beltway, this show highlights emerging local talent in fashion and photography. >> Good gravy does this show sound awesome. The one and only David Byrne is live at the Filene Center at Wolftrap, along with mothereffing DeVotchKa. Seems primed to blow minds, plus it’s supposed to be gorgeous by Saturday night. Tickets $25 – 45, 8 p.m.

SUNDAY:

>> Portland’s Blind Pilot join up with Local Natives on the Black Cat mainstage, $13 with doors at 8 p.m.

>> The Newseum hosts an Inside Media discussion today at 2:30 p.m. title Twenty Years After Tiananmen, which will feature veteran journalists Bernard Shaw and Bob Deans. Both men “reported live from Beijing as the story of a historic summit between communist leaders quickly changed when countless citizens defied the Chinese government by assembling and protesting in Tiananmen Square.”

>> If you were wowed by rising local MC Tabi Bonney at Wednesday’s Wale show at 9:30 Club, head to STIR Lounge tonight for Bonney’s official video shoot after party starting at 10 p.m. Music will be provided by DJ ALIZAY, with ladies free all night, guys free before 11, and an open bar from 10 to 11.
