Wednesday:
>> Earth, Wind and Fire have been together for 40 years and seem to keep pressing on. They’ll be at Merriweather Post Pavilion with Chicago. $35-$75, 7:30 p.m.

>> Santigold is one of the more talked about artists around, which explains why the Philly native’s show is sold out at the 9:30 Club. Fear not, though. Some folks on Craigslist are trying to unload tickets. 8:30 p.m.

>> If you can’t get into the show, go to the afterparty. DC9 will play host to the official post-show Santigold set. Slated to perform are emcee Amanda Blank (who’ll be opening for Santigold at the 9:30 Club) with Lil’ El and Manulita on the 1s and 2s. $10, 9:30 p.m.

Thursday:
>> Known as the “hip-hop violinist,” Grammy winner Miri Ben-Ari broke through with work on Kanye West’s first album and Wyclef Jean. On Thursday, look for DCist’s interview with her. She’ll be closing out the Washington Jewish Music Festival at the Washington DC JCC. $25-$30, 8 p.m.

Friday:
>> Three of the areas best DJs are teaming up for a night of Afro beat, Brazilian, Latin, House, Disco, and Funk music. DJ Stylus, DJ Meistro, and Deep Sang will be at Almaz. $5 before midnight/$7 after midnight, 10:30 p.m.

Saturday:
>> As a part of “Remixing the Art of Social Change: a Hip-Hop Approach,” “The Sickness 3” will feature the hip-hop culture and comic book-inspired artwork of Aniekan Udofia. Additionally, DJ 2-Tone Jones will be providing the musical backdrop for the show at Dissident Display. $10, 7:30 p.m.
