MUSIC: There’s only two more nights left of Fort Reno this season, so make ’em count. Tonight enjoy Three Stars alums Pree (featuring May Taybol, formerly of Le Loup), North America, and the rootsy sounding Stoney Lonesome. 7:15-9:30 p.m.

MOVIE: The second night of Screen on the Green features Dog Day Afternoon, starring Al Pacino as the misguided bank robber, Sonny Wortzik. Grab a blanket, mosquito repellent and a thermos full of your favorite beverage and join the crowds between 4th and 7th Street for one of D.C.’s best summer events.

MUSIC: If staying indoors tonight with the AC is more your thing, think about heading over to Iota at 8:30 p.m. for the still-doing-it charm of American Music Club and the Smart Brothers. $15.

MOVIE: Or take in the Black Cat‘s own movie night, a double header featuring the New York Dolls documentary, All Dolled Up, as well as a concert film of the seminal Dead Boys performing at CBGB in 1977. 9 p.m., free in the backstage.

LECTURE: Hear Bradley Graham, the longtime Washington Post reporter and author of By His Own Rules: The Ambitions, Successes, and Ultimate Failures of Donald Rumsfeld, talk on his extensive research on Donald Rumsfeld’s tenure at the Pentagon, and about his interview with Rumsfeld after his departure in 2006. The lecture is free at Politics and Prose at 7 p.m.
