Good morning, Washington. Have you been enjoying the relatively mild weather which has graced us for the last couple of days? Well, soak it all in today, because Sunday will see temps on the brink of triple-digits — and Monday could actually see the heat break the 100 degree barrier. Oh, and the humidity is also likely to be incredibly oppressive. Today should be relatively pleasant, so be sure to enjoy it before the heat wave strikes.

In other news this morning:

>> Just a reminder that things are going to be moving slowly on Metro today due to this morning’s temporary closure of the L’Enfant Plaza station.

>> Lots of crime stories from the suburbs today: A large number of men, including a longtime firefighter, were caught in an incredibly successful sting by police, in which police posed as minors who the arrested individuals then solicited through Craigslist and MySpace. Police seem to have found a common thread in a Fairfax robbery string: the victims are all of Asian background and most of the homes feature a Hindu deity. Meanwhile, a Frederick man is facing charges for repeatedly calling 911 because he “just needed someone to talk to.”

>> One way to fight the heat on Sunday? With a cool, refreshing beverage at Wonderland’s fifth-anniversary celebration, of course.
