MOVIE: Part of the ongoing Maya Indie Film Series, which highlights films by Latino filmmakers, the E Street Cinema tonight screens The Line, directed by James Cotten and starring Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Danny Trejo, Armand Assante and Esai Morales. Liotta plays an assassin going after Garcia’s crime cartel. 7:30 p.m.
MUSIC: This musician needs no introduction. Smokey Robinson is at Wolf Trap’s Filene Center. Tickets are $25-$45, and the show starts at 8 p.m.
COMEDY/MUSIC: Cyndi Lauper and Rosie O’Donnell perform together tonight in a show called “Girls Night Out” at the 9:30 Club. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are a hefty $55, but a portion of the proceeds benefit the Capital Area Food Bank (the club is also accepting non-perishable food items for the food bank).
READING: Politics and Prose hosts author Richard Russo at 7 p.m. to talk about and his new novel, That Old Cape Magic, which is about a middle aged man who “revisits the site of his honeymoon and his happy childhood summers [to find that] everything has changed.”
