MOVIE: Crystal Screen‘s ongoing superhero outdoor movie festival kicks off the Batman portion of the proceedings tonight with Batman, the Michael Keaton/Jack Nicholson version. At 18th and Bell Streets, in the courtyard across from the Crystal City Metro station. Free, film starts at sundown (around 8:30 p.m.)

FOOD & DRINK: DC Beer Week is officially here! Start the week off with a special event for hop lovers: a selection of the hoppiest beers on the market, hopped beer cocktails and even hop ice cream will be available tonight at The Black Squirrel in Adams Morgan, 7:30-10 p.m. Or, head to The Big Hunt for “Sausage, Cheese, and Beerliciousness,” which pairs regional breweries with regional cheeses and sausages. Tickets to that event are $25 and only 30 spots will be available. 7 p.m.

READING: Politics and Prose hosts author Michael Rosen at 7 p.m. tonight to share a story of baseball and mentorship across class and race in his new book, What Else But Home: Seven Boys and an American Journey Between the Projects and the Penthouse.
