COUNTY FAIR: The always excellent Montgomery County Fair is serving up Monster Truck Madness tonight in the grandstands. Fair admission is $8 for adults, and it’s an extra $12 for the Monster Truck show. Trucks start their engines at 7:30 p.m., fair stays open until midnight.
MOVIE: Having to work straight through the month of August got you down? Work out your issues tonight with a screening of Joel Schumacher’s epic look at the brutal ennui of modern life, Falling Down starring Michael Douglas. You’ll never order fast food the same way again. At the AFI Silver, $10, 9:30 p.m.
FOOD & DRINK: We’ve really been enjoying DC Beer Week so far, and tonight offers another compelling round of choices. Right now we’re leaning toward the “Drink to Victory Party” at Commonwealth as the best option, featuring a few special offerings from Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing. Take advantage of beer & food pairings, beer flights, limited release seasonal Victory beers, and, most intriguing, two Victory beers on cask. 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
