While we’re sure you love the weekly Arts Agenda here at DCist, we’re compelled to note the launch of (and urge you to bookmark) Pink Line Project’s brand new web site this week. An easy-to-navigate calendar at the top lists the metro area’s art events; detailed info and images pop up for each event below. Pink Line features a scrolling list of their own picks, or go down to the bottom of the page for “Today Only” events. The “Art Chat” is more blog posts than interactive discussion, but may feature lengthier previews and reviews by guest writers in the future.

>> Speaking of Pink Line, see the results of their “live-work” contest by heading over to the Solea Condos at 14th and Florida NW tonight for the launch of Live-Work Defined, by winners Fabian Bernal and Sarah Aburdene. See the transformed space, along with an exhibit and raffle by Albus Cavus, while DJ Gold and Riddle keep your ears occupied. 6 to 8 p.m.

>> At the same Solea building but in a different area (we assume there will be signs), the D.C. Commission on Arts and Humanities will hold their third Art Salon featuring a handful of artists and more DJs. If you’re a local artist looking to meet some interesting people already in the biz, you can take advantage of this event to do a little networking. DCCAH would like you to RSVP: ccahevents[at]gmail.com 7 to 9 p.m.

>> Art Outlet and ArtDC collaborated for the upcoming Zip Code Show, featuring over 30 local artists who describe the places they call home. The opening on Saturday begins at 5:30 p.m. with a long list of performers to accompany the exhibit, including drummers, belly dancers, film shorts and live bands, until 11 p.m. Free, cash bar, on-site garage parking for $1.
