MUSIC: Screaming Females bring their guitar shredding skills to the Black Cat‘s backstage tonight. Ingrid and Onion Flavored Rings also play. 8:30 p.m., $10.
Or get over to Dupont Circle for Bluebrain’s “Cakeblood”, an experimental cassette tape-based project. They’ll give you a copy of the work which you’ll then pop in your portable tape-deck (which you need to provide) and you’ll follow them on a walk through the city. MOVIE: The AFI Silver’s Latin American Film Festival rolls on tonight, with a screening of Adrián Biniez’s Gigante at 7 p.m. The purportedly lighthearted black comedy concerns a supermarket security guard in a Montevideo suburb who becomes obsessed with stalking the new cleaning lady.
