Good morning, Washington. The case of the Springfield man who was arrested for being naked in his own kitchen keeps on keeping on today, as FOX 5 knows a winner story when they see one and offers this important update. Seems Fairfax County police are feeling the need to defend this particular arrest, and are now trying to paint the suspect, Eric Williamson, 29, as a serial naked-in-his-house-but-hoping-you-can-see-him guy. “On Wednesday, investigators told FOX 5 they have reason to believe there may have been another incident in which someone saw Williamson naked in front of his window. They’re asking anyone who may have seen Williamson in the nude through his windows to come forward, even if it was at a different time.” Police also canvassed Williamson’s neighborhood with fliers, urging people to come forward. For his part, Williamson maintains he never thought anyone was looking at him when he was making coffee in the nude.

Man Fatally Shot By PG Police Identified: We now know the name of the man who was shot and killed outside a 7-11 by Prince George’s County police on Sunday. He was Matthew Maurer Obst, 55, of the 7500 block of Spring Lake Drive in Bethesda, the Post reports. Officials say the officers involved, Jonathan Eyler, Michael Gainey, Osiris Lopez, Bryan Hodor, Anton Washington and Iris Borrero, opened fire on Obst because he lunged at one of the officers while wielding two knives.

Metro to Test Bus Emissions: Have you ever wondered which type of Metrobus, compressed natural gas, clean diesel or hybrid, is the least polluting? Well Metro doesn’t know either, but now they’re going to try to find out, the Examiner reports. A $200,000 study expected to approved by Metro’s board today “could save, or cost, Metro millions of dollars,” with a goal of “determining which of the fuels and propulsion systems is the cleanest burning and the most cost effective.”

Briefly Noted: D.C. man pleads guilty to threatening a federal prosecutor … Fairfax teen may have died in Korean exorcism … Thousands in Montgomery County lost power Wednesday evening … Amanda Mahnke, woman hit by Metrobus last month, is doing better.

This Day in DCist: Last year, we enjoyed a little song about how Maryland sex offenders aren’t allowed to hand out candy on Halloween.
