Good morning, Washington. McPherson Square Metro station reopened at 5 a.m. this morning following last night’s apparent suicide-by-Metro on the Blue Line. There’s still no ID available on the jumper this morning. As the Post notes, this latest incident makes a total of eight people who have jumped in front of Metrorail trains this year alone. The Examiner lists the total number of deaths attributed to the transit agency this year at 22.

Vigil Held for Oscar Fuentes: The 1400 block of Columbia Rd. NW was closed to traffic last night while mourners, neighbors, police and the media gathered for a vigil for slain 9-year-old Oscar Fuentes. Matt Zapotosky writes in the Post that the picture of what really happened that night has gotten even more murky in the days since, noting that both police and family members have been offering differing accounts of the events that led to Oscar’s death. WTTG/FOX5’s Roby Chavez was also at the vigil, and spoke to Oscar’s teacher about how his 4th grade classmates at Raymond Elementary are dealing with his killing.

Mayor Fenty and D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier are set announce at 10 a.m. this morning that police have made an arrest in the killing of Oscar Fuentes. Stay tuned for more on that later.

D.C. AIDS Office Ordered to Answer HUD: At-large D.C. Council member David Catania’s hearing Monday on major lapses in oversight of D.C.’s HIV/AIDS programs was predictably contentious. The Post’s Darryl Fears reports that Catania, after ordering city health officials to hand over the documents that the Department of Housing and Urban Development has been asking for since June, vowed to hold hearings on the issue every week for the foreseeable future.
