Hopefully the turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie yet to be consumed can help dull the pain just a little.
Developer Lacked Proper License for Gray’s Home Repairs: The Washington Times continues to hammer at D.C. Council Chair Vince Gray, today reporting that William C. Smith & Co. didn’t have the right kind of business license to provide home improvement services when it helped supervise some minor repair work at Gray’s Hillcrest home. In addition, two of the companies hired to work on Mr. Gray’s house by WCS Construction, which is owned by Smith, are not actually licensed to do business in the District. DCRA now says they are looking into it.
Second Arrest Made in Rawlings Murder: D.C. police on Friday arrested a second suspect in the fatal shooting of George Rawlings, who was killed while trying to board a bus on H Street NE, the Post reports. DeAngelo Edwards, 19, of Landover, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder while armed. The arrest came a week after Jeffrey Britt, 17, was also arrested in the shooting.
