Three Shot in Columbia Heights: The Post is reporting that on early Thursday morning three men were shot, one fatally, in Columbia Heights. (I’ll be the picky one to point out that the location of the shooting, the 700 block of Harvard Street, isn’t really Columbia Heights, though.)
Cracks Found in Farragut North Metro Station: The Examiner writes that cracks have been found in the ceiling of the Farragut North Metro station, one stretching as far as 15 feet. According to Metro officials, water from a sewer pipe has been leaking into the station. Repairs are to start soon, though Metro hasn’t said how long they will take. Service at the station will not be affected.
Light Up One Last Time in Virginia: If you live in Virginia, this weekend will be the last until a statewide smoking ban for bars takes effect on December 1, reminds WTOP.
