90 firefighters and emergency personnel responded to a massive fire last night on the 1300 block of Oak Street NW around 12:45 a.m. The house in which the fire started was reportedly vacant, but flames were spreading to nearby homes, and those residents were evacuated. The above video [some very brief NSFW language] was taken by a YouTube user 45 minutes after the fire started — but it’s obvious from the footage how massive a blaze it was. WTOP notes that the home appeared to be under construction or renovation, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
