  • Wilson High School students are officially moving over to the UDC campus while their school is being renovated, beginning in the 2010-2011 school year, City Desk reports. Note that the official “groundbreaking” event is actually set for tomorrow.
  • An unidentified breed of large bird, probably some kind of a hawk or a falcon, got its foot stuck in an escalator at the Benning Road Metro station this morning, as the Post reports. But fear not: the bird was quickly freed and flew off to safety, only slightly worse for the wear.
  • D.C. area executives think “economic conditions will get better over the next six months,” reports the Washington Business Journal, with 32 percent saying they expect the number of jobs in their businesses to increase during that time. We guess we’ll take what we can get!
