- Another crime scoop from the Examiner today, this time by Scott McCabe: a months-long drugs and guns police sting that was operating out of a storefront in the Langdon Park neighborhood has netted more than $1 million in heroin and 123 illegal guns. But was it entrapment? Plus more on the undercover informants and on a particular transaction that almost blew their cover.
- And Bill Myers has more on the Reggie Jones arrest. Police allege Jones used his squad car to drive at least one accomplice to the scene of the crime. For his part, “Jones has admitted to being on the scene when the shooting started but has denied any role in the robbery.”
- 14th and You breaks down the Mendo meeting on crime in Shaw. “Having now attended the meeting, I’m not sure why Mendelson would host it.” Ouch.
