The Department of Public Works announced that regular trash and recycling collection services resumed today, although leaf collection would remain suspended so crews could finish clearing snow in residential neighborhoods. Collection from public litter cans also resumed today.

They also noted that DPW/DDOT does not clear the alleys in D.C., so if your trash is collected from an alley, it may not be picked up on schedule. If Friday is your regular collection day, plan to put out trash Saturday, since things will be shifted because of Christmas.
