- The White House confirms there was a third uninvited guest at its Nov. 24 state dinner, as Newsmax first reported this morning. The man reportedly gained access among a group of Indian CEOs who were invited to the dinner.
- About time! D.C. charter schools are finally getting their own police officers, following a spate of violent attacks on charter campuses this fall.
- Unsurprisingly, David Catania looks like he will probably run again for his At-large seat on the D.C. Council. Look for a formal announcement mid-month.
- The power went out at National Airport for about an hour today, causing a series of flight delays. “What happened, according to Tara Hamilton with the airport’s authority, is that there was a failure at an electrical substation, triggering a giant circuit breaker,” WAMU reports.
- Major business (and jobs!) news from the Washington Business Journal: Defense contracting giant Northrop Grumman Corp. will move its corporate headquarters from Los Angeles to the Washington area by 2011. Don’t hold your breath on them moving inside the District, though.
