Just breaking now from the Associated Press (via NPR): James Von Brunn, the white supremacist who shot and killed security guard Stephen Johns at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in June, has died.
WASHINGTON (AP) – AP Source: Accused Holocaust museum shooter James Von Brunn has died in a prison hospital.

His lawyer, the District’s federal public defender A.J. Kramer, said he did not know the cause of death or the circumstances. Von Brunn was wounded by a museum security guard after he opened fire on another guard on June 10,. That guard, Stephen T. Johns, 39, died.
Von Brunn was shot in the face.
Prison officials confirmed the death. Felicia Ponce, a spokeswoman for the federal prison system, said Von Brunn was pronounced dead shortly before 1 p.m. at a hospital near the prison, where he has being held.
