  • Unsuck DC Metro notices a pretty bad photoshop job on a prominent Metro advertising display, and WMATA tells them they pulled the ad.
  • WTOP reports another near-miss for Metro: a track safety inspector from the Tri-State Oversight Committee was almost hit by a train himself on Dec. 10. Ironic? Certainly, though it seems this particular inspector was close to 70 years-old, had tripped and fallen a number of times while out on the tracks, and was “having a tough time keeping up with the group.”
  • Lawmakers in Maryland and Virginia will now try to get a 5 cent disposable bag fee passed in their states, WAMU reports, possibly sending this guy all the way to Delaware for his bulk purchases.
  • Locals driving out of the city along New York Ave. may soon no longer be treated to electronic headlines like “Tea Party head warns GOP of Fla. repeat”: Paul Bedard reports that the shrinking newspaper is looking to abandon its massive HQ and move someplace smaller. No word on where that might be yet.
