Wizards 104, 76ers 97: The Wizards went into halftime down by 14, completely downtrodden, a basketball team without a fire inside. But Antawn Jamison wasn’t going to have it, regardless of the myriad drama swirling around the team. Jamison scored 14 of his 32 points in a bullish third quarter, and Washington turned that deficit around, potentially sending Gilbert Arenas out with a win. (According to sources, the league is considering suspending Arenas indefinitely as the investigations into his possession continue, as he’s already admitted bringing the firearms to Verizon Center.) Nick Young also chipped in 21 off the bench for Washington on 9-14 shooting from the field — a good sign, backcourt-wise, if Hibachi does end up being finished for the year. It was a rarely positive night for this team, this season: Jamison putting the team on his back, taking control in the second half, and finishing off a season sweep of the Sixers.

It’s really too bad that the only thing anyone will be talking about will be this, instead of what actually happened on the court.
