Accused MPD Officer Changed His Alibi: The Post reports the latest on the case of Reginald Jones, the MPD officer accused of participating in robbery and murder. Yesterday’s court hearing brought the news that Jones didn’t stick to his initial story regarding his whereabouts on the night of the robbery: at first he said he was at headquarters, writing warrants, but later stated that he was near the scene of the crime, sitting in his squad car, alone. Presiding Judge Michael Rankin has ordered Jones held in jail until trial.
Time to Start Memorizing How Many N’s There Are in “Shanahan”: In a move that will surprise no one, the Redskins appear to have signed a deal with coach-apparent Mike Shanahan. The Denver Post is reporting that Shanahan will receive about $7 million dollars a year, the same compensation that he enjoyed at his last job. Is it too early to start talking about next year’s playoffs?! Surely not.
