A Man Who Ate His Cherries, about a man who is forced to divorce his wife and come up with a clever way to pay for her restitution. The movie starts at 7 p.m. and is free. Tickets will be distributed starting one hour beforehand.
ART: The Washington Sculptors Group has an opening at Pepco’s Edison Place Gallery tonight featuring their annual juried member exhibit. Erwin Timmers, along with 16 local sculptors, will have their work presented and highlighted in an awards ceremony. Free, 6 – 8 p.m.
Or for an artist talk, Civilian Art Projects hosts a talk about the site-specific installation in their front window for free at 8 p.m.
And for browsing, Caos on F opens an exhibit of mixed media work by Chul Beom Park for free from 6 – 8:30 p.m.
JAZZ: Area vocalist Lavenia Nesmith takes the stage for Jazz Night in Southwest. She brings with her top, local talent, including pianist Eric Byrd, saxophonist Lyle Link, bassist James King, and Three Stars alum Lenny Robinson on drums. 6 – 9 p.m. $5.
