HAPPY HOUR: The newly opened Ping Pong Dim Sum in Chinatown is hosting its first official happy hour tonight from 4-7 p.m. The kick-off party will offer specials including $5 martinis and selected cocktails, $4 imported beers, and a menu of $3 appetizers. 900 7th St NW.
ART: As we previewed earlier, the five D.C. locals who were honored in the most recent Heeb Magazine list of the top 100 young Jews to watch will be on hand for an unveiling of their portraits at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue tonight. Reception is 7-9 p.m.

MOVIE: Tonight’s Washington Psychotronic Film Society selection is the 1982 sci-fi action “classic” Megaforce, starring a weirdly blonde Barry Bostwick. We’d be willing to bet it was least one of the influences behind Team America. At the Warehouse Theater. 8 p.m., $2 suggested donation.
THEATER: Woolly Mammoth is offering a pay-what-you-can performance of Mike Daisey’s The Last Cargo Cult tonight at 8 p.m. The show runs through Feb. 7, when tickets are normally $25-$30. general-admission tickets with a special “pay what you can” performance.
