HAPPY HOUR: The Friendship Society of Washington, DC and The Eurasia Center are co-hosting an “Old Russia”-themed New Year’s celebration at the Russian Cultural Centre (1825 Phelps Place NW). The party features an open bar from 7-9 p.m., plus Russian-themed hors d’oeuvres and Caviar. $15 per person (or $25 per couple). JAZZ: The Holland Jazz Series continues at Blues Alley tonight with world class pianist Amina Figarova. She will be performing with her sextet, which features some of the best musicians Europe has to offer. Tickets to the 8 and 10 p.m. sets are $20 + $12.50 minimum/surcharge.
