Temporarily lane closures will be in place on the eastbound side of the Southeast Freeway this weekend while crews work to complete the demolition of two RFK access ramps. So DDOT is warning drivers that there will be no access to RFK Stadium or Pennsylvania Avenue from the SE Freeway between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, with additional closures possible on Sunday.

The following is the suggested detour route to reach Pennsylvania Avenue from the SE Freeway during this time: Exit at Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, turn left on Good Hope Road SE, then left again on Minnesota Avenue SE until you reach Pennsylvania. Alternatively, you can exit at South Capitol Street from the SW Freeway, then travel across the Frederick Douglass Bridge to the Suitland Parkway and I-295.
