>> The National Gallery of Art is hosting a free concert on Wednesday at lunchtime (January 20, 12:10 p.m.), featuring mezzo-soprano Anne-Marieke Evers, organist Stephen Ackert, violinist Risa Browder, and viola da gambist Jodi Beder at the United Church (1920 G St. NW). The program continues the series of concerts devoted to music from 1610, 1710, and so on, with music by Bach from 1710.
>> Pianist Ieva Jokubaviciute will give a free preview of the recital program she will perform in New York later this month, at the Catholic University School of Music on Thursday night (January 21, 7:30 p.m.), with music by Debussy, Scriabin, Schoenberg, Berg, and others.
>> Pianist Menahem Pressler and cellist Antonio Meneses, formerly of the Beaux Arts Trio, will join violinist Alexander Kerr and violist Kim Kashkashian for a free concert at the Library of Congress on Thursday night (January 21, 8 p.m.). If you have not already reserved a ticket through Ticketmaster, you can always show up early and wait on line for an unclaimed seat.
>> Pianist Irina Nuzova will give an all-Schubert recital on Sunday (January 24, 4 p.m.), free with the price of admission to the Phillips Collection.
>> Also on Sunday (January 24, 6:30 p.m.) the National Gallery of Art’s Piano Trio, String Quartet, and Wind Quintet will team up for a free chamber music concert, featuring works of Beethoven from 1810, in the museum’s West Building.
