  • Mayor Fenty is helping the Haitian Embassy set up a D.C. command center to organize their relief efforts, WTOP reports. I know diplomats aren’t necessarily political, and obviously this tragedy merits everyone’s best efforts, but I have to wonder if Fenty felt at all funny about standing shoulder-to-shoulder with someone who technically represents the absolutely corrupt Haitian government.
